From July 1 to 3, Ukrainian experts engaged in high-level discussions with their European partners to analyse current approaches to digital platform regulation across Europe.
The meetings, which included policy analysts, academics, and digital and EU economy specialists, aimed to identify effective strategies for addressing the challenges posed by rapidly evolving online platforms.
As European Union member states continue to implement the Digital Services Act (DSA), Ukraine is seeking to align its regulatory framework with European standards, both to strengthen its internal digital governance and to support its path towards EU integration.
Participants examined key topics such as platform accountability, user protection, competition policy, and the role of national regulators in overseeing transnational digital services. The discussions also explored how to balance innovation incentives with the need for fair competition and societal safeguards.
This exchange highlighted Ukraine’s commitment to adopting effective digital governance practices and supporting its EU integration process.
